RESEARCH -001 coincides with the launch of WHR Citizen Science. It was sent to us from Matt DeMartino out of Austin, Texas, who is currently working with the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies (more to come from his project as it develops).

The study shared looks at four colleges in the US in regards to the interdisciplinary research institute active on each campus. It will help us establish a framework as WHR CITIZEN SCIENCE comes into life. We encourage citizen scientists to read this article and understand the possibilities of participation in interdisciplinary research to address significant, large-scale problems (like climate change, ecological sustainability, etc.). All community members are valued and essential. Observations on any scale and a willingness to participate with personal skills are vital to the success of research institutes.
